Geocaching Sites of Interest
Buxley's Geocaching Waypoint - This is a cool site! This site maps out every cache in the world. Even in Antarctica! Does a GPS work in that kind of cold? Either this guy has a direct link to Geocaching.com's database or he is working 24/7 to keep his site up to date, and believe me it is current. My only gripe about this site is that the maps aren't very detailed and caches that are close by tend to hide behind other caches. But locally, that's where my site fills the gap.

CA Geocoins - We've seen them around. Our friend, Chaosmanor, is a proponent of them. Now you can go to the website and find out more about Geocoins. It is a nice variation on travel bugs.

Conejo Open Space Foundation - Ever wonder who made the trail you are hiking on? Ever wonder who cuts the brush away from the trail and fixes the erosion damage? Well then you need to check out this site. Maybe there is a place for you as well.

Conejo Valley Examiner Article on local Geocaching - We had a planning meeting for Eat, Drink and God Bless America II and Bijoya Ohja of the Conejo Valley Examiner interviewed us for a good article on the local geocaching scene.

Geocaching.com in Spanish - This is Geocaching.com in a new light - in Spanish language. I have to believe that there is a growing demand for such a site. Great going Jeremy!

InsideVC Outdoors - Gary Phelps, Insidevc, has a webpage in the Insidevc website dedicated to hikes around Ventura County. Although he hails from Ventura, most of us are familiar with Insidevc and several of his caches placed around Thousand Oaks. The site features several hikes in the Thousand Oaks area.

Iron Chef Geocaching - The thing I like most about this guy's website is his logo. I wish I was that artistic.

Southern California Geocachers - This site is only slightly older than mine and is representative of our area as well as the rest of Southern California. A little more emphasis is placed on points south of here. As with my site, this site seems to be quite a work in progress. I like some of the programming tricks (well, at least what I can see on the screen knowing that he is using PHP). The site has a very professional looking appearance.

Utah Association of Geocachers - This is a new site for Geocaching in Utah. If you have travel plans to Utah check them out before you go.

Hiking Sites of Interest
HikeArizona.com - This is one of the best hiking websites I've seen to date. Yes, it's in Arizona, so you're going to have to travel to do these hikes. The thing I like so much about this website is that it gives route finding details that are invaluable on tough treks that you are unfamiliar with. I've done several of the hikes that the site refers to. The photosets are awesome. Check it out.
