The Spring Canyon Trail is the access trail that most people use to get to the Los Robles Trail. In fact, for about 100 yards the Spring Canyon Trail and the Los Robles Trail are the same trail.

The trail begins at a dirt parking area at the corner of Moorpark and Greenmeadow. The trail travels over rolling terrain for about a half mile before reaching a junction with a spur trail that connects to the Oak Creek Loop Trail. A short distance later you reach a fork in the trail. Take the right fork up a short, steep and rocky hill. At the top of the hill the trail merges witht the Los Robles Trail and the two trails travel as one down the hill straight ahead. At the bottom of the hill the Los Robles Trail heads off the the left and the Spring Canyon Trail heads straight ahead.

After rounding some oak trees on a short flat section the Trail begins a long uphill climb. The climb does get progressively steeper as you near the top, but it isn't that steep. You'll reach the top and immediately head downhill. After about 150 yards of winding downhill the trail heads back up a short hill before descending for another 50 yards. The Trail heads uphill briefly and then levels out for about 200 yards.

After the flat section the Trail dives down into an oak grove, head back up a short steep hill and then does a similar down and uphill once again before leveling out for about 30 yards. The Trail then heads down a sweeping right and then left turn before reaching the trailhead at Hemlock Road marking the end of the Spring Canyon Trail.
