The Brookview Trail begins at the dead end of Brookview Avenue. The COSCA trail map does not give this trail a name so I did.

The trail is uphill most of the way with only a short rolling section in the middle of the trail. This is one of many old fire roads in the area. Therefore the trail is pretty wide all the way up.

After an initial climb on the north side of the ridge that the trail straddles the trail runs along the ridge top all the way to the end. This affords nice views of the surrounding mountains as well as of Westlake.

At the bottom of the only real downhill section of the trail there is a small trail to the right the provides access to the Triunfo Canyon Trail just a few yards down the hill. After this intersection it is all uphill to the end on the rockiest most eroded section of trail. The trail ends at a junction with the Los Robles South Trail and the Los Robles South Ridgeline Trail.
