Well it's been nearly 48 hours since our hosting company made their fix. I've checked the site frequently and it hasn't gone down since. Considering that the site was going down routinely throughout the day, this is a major improvement. I'm cautiously optimistic that we finally may approach the performance level that our old hosting company gave us. Fingers crossed.
