The Felton Trail is an access trail to the Los Robles Trail. The trail gets its name from the street that its trailhead is located on. The trail is not very long, at just over two-tenths of a mile long. In that short distance the trail rises just over 150 feet. If you plan on taking the Los Robles Trail east from the Felton Trail, the Felton Trail makes for a good warm up.
Despite how short the trail is the Felton Trail is a pleasant hike. Once you start heading uphill the trail is surrounded by vegetation. With a northeast exposure most of the way, the slope that the trail travels along stays damp longer after rains, allowing the vegetation to thrive. You will quickly forget that there are homes so close by. So while the hike will only take about 10 minutes, if that, it should prove enjoyable to most.
